Premature and low-birth-weight babies are the most fragile patients. Some of them are born weighing between 600 and 1,500 grams, and sometimes even less. In the first days of their lives, they require constant monitoring, precise medical care, and equipment that helps doctors respond to even the slightest changes in their condition.

Thanks to our donors, we delivered three Aitecs 2016 syringe infusion pumps and two Rad-97 pulse oximeters for newborns to the Cherkasy Regional Hospital.

Infusion pumps help administer medications and solutions with great precision. For premature babies, especially those with critically low birth weight, such precision is crucial: even the slightest error in dosing can affect the baby’s condition.

The Rad-97 pulse oximeters continuously monitor blood oxygen levels and heart rate. For doctors, this provides the ability to promptly detect apnea, bradycardia, breathing difficulties, or other dangerous changes that require an immediate response.

The Cherkasy Regional Hospital is one of the key medical institutions in Central Ukraine. During the full-scale war, its role has become even more important: families from various regions come here, including internally displaced families, pregnant women, newborns, and children in critical condition.

We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the fundraiser.

Thanks to you, the doctors at the Cherkasy Regional Hospital have more resources to provide accurate, safe, and timely treatment for their youngest patients. And babies born prematurely have a better chance of stabilizing, developing, and thriving.
