A little traveler and a big dream to walk!

This is Dima, a little traveler who loves to walk as long as he has strength. The boy's diagnosis is cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia, hip dysplasia and equino-valgus deformity of the feet. Life with such challenges is not easy, but despite this, Dima is a very patient, intelligent and cheerful boy who dreams of school, friends and free steps. He loves to build Lego, despite his poor motor skills, and he is passionate about exploring nature, especially life in the countryside. That is why he dreams of having many friends with whom he can share his adventures in traveling.

His rehabilitation journey began at the age of 1 year and 4 months. The first sessions showed progress, and this became an incentive for his parents to continue. They were constantly looking for the best specialists to help their son.

Dima took his first independent steps when he was almost 4 years old, on St. Nicholas Day. Joy and tears were in everyone's eyes. It was a real miracle that filled the hearts of the family with hope. However, at the age of five, the boy underwent surgery for a flat-valgus foot deformity, and after a month in a cast, he learned to walk again. It was hard and scary, but Dima did not give up. He realizes that all these efforts will give him a healthy and happy childhood. He loves to be praised for his good results and gets very upset if he doesn't do something right the first time.  

This year, Dima is preparing for school with a little excitement: will he be able to keep up with his peers, will he find friends who will understand him? He dreams of not only learning new things, but also feeling part of a big school family. Education will be inclusive, so it is important to strengthen both physical and cognitive skills. His parents are worried because they want Dima to feel confident among his peers. Rehabilitation is needed to improve coordination, strengthen muscles and prepare the boy for school.
