Little Marko and his way to the stars
Marko's life began like many other kids. The family was happily expecting their second child, this time a boy. Marko's birth brought joy to the house, and the first six months seemed carefree. But something was bothering the parents. Despite the fact that the doctors saw “nothing wrong,” they decided to go to OKHMATDYT for an examination on their own.
The results of the examinations were shocking: Marko was diagnosed with a cyst in his brain and cerebral palsy. These diagnoses turned the family's life upside down. Today, Marko is struggling with several illnesses at once - spastic hemiplegia, left-sided hemiparesis, structural epilepsy and lissencephaly. His condition requires constant monitoring, treatment and rehabilitation.
Every day, the boy takes anti-seizure medication, without which he can be seized by epileptic attacks, which again set him back in his development. The progress Marko makes through perseverance and painful rehabilitation can easily be lost if treatment is not timely. Due to hypertension, the boy's left arm and leg are gradually shortening.
This year the boy went to the first grade. It is not easy for him - it is extremely difficult to combine studies and rehabilitation, but he tries his best. He does his best at school, completes his assignments carefully and is sincerely happy even with small successes.
Marko is a real sunshine. He dreams, sings, dances, in his own way, but cheerfully and enthusiastically. Lego is a real magical world for him. He creates amazing and cosmic things with a large construction set, because due to the weakness of his left hand, it is still difficult to cope with small details. And when it comes to his future profession, Marko's options are fascinating: from astronaut to train driver.
This boy really needs your help. Without constant rehabilitation, his progress may stop, and Marko wants to live a full life, create and learn.
Perhaps you are helping a future astronaut right now?
