Little orchestra of hope

Three-year Mark is a very cheerful child. He has blood cancer. He is being treated in the children's oncology department of the Ivano-Frankivsk hospital. He begins and ends his every day with a song.

Mark was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in September 2016. He went through 3 blocks of sequential high-dose chemotherapy. Unfortunately, chemotherapy was not able to kill Mark’s malignant cells. Doctors are confident that only bone marrow transplantation from an unrelated donor will give him a chance to live.

The full cost of treatment in the Italian Clinic “Bambino Gesu” is 158 000 Euro. This is a horrendous amount for the family. Mark’s father is sick with severe renal failure and he is alive only due to dialysis procedures. Mather lost her job because her sick child needs care.

At UBB we plan to collect UAH 500 000 to help Mark and pay one part of the Clinic cost.
