The little immigrant needs help

Marko is still very young, but at the age of 6 he has a whole bunch of diagnoses: spastic hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, left-sided hemiparesis, structural epilepsy and lissencephaly. This happened because of a cyst in the brain, which Mark was diagnosed with at the age of 8 months. Since then, the boy has been in need of treatment, rehabilitation and constant monitoring of his condition.

If the rehabilitation course is not completed in time, Mark's left leg and arm will start to shorten due to hypertension and spasticity. Every day, the boy takes anticonvulsants, because without them, epileptic seizures occur, which also set him back 2-3 steps in his development, and then it is very difficult for him to recover and catch up with the lost progress.

Marko and his family moved to Kyiv from Donetsk region because the war destroyed his home and city... They are constantly short of money because they have to rent a house. Mark's mother tries to work as a hairdresser at home to earn some money, but she devotes all her time to Mark.

His mother admits that he is a very persistent boy who already knows a lot of things - he likes to model and draw with clay, learns to dance, although in a very "special way" because of his illness and only with his mother. He also loves to sing. The love of music runs in the family. Mark's older sister, Sofia, plays the guitar and has been playing music for 6 years. And Marko always sings along, so despite all the hardships in life, there is always a song in their home.

During his rehabilitation, Marko has already achieved great success: he limps much less, not only walks well, but also runs. His mother says that sometimes it is impossible to catch up with him. In addition, the boy began to connect and use his left hand, though much less than his right. Doctors say that Marko can improve his condition if he manages to make it to the age of 10.
