Do you remember little Marko from Donetsk region, whose childhood was ruined by war and illness? Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to raise funds, and Marko underwent an important course of rehabilitation. Your help was not in vain! We are happy to announce that this rehabilitation has yielded wonderful results.
Today, Marko is a schoolboy! He attends a regular school, albeit in an inclusive class. We are immensely happy to see him adapting to school life, excelling at math, and enjoying communicating with his peers. This is a huge step forward and a testament that all our efforts and your support are bearing fruit.
Marko's mom says that he continues to amaze everyone with his perseverance. He loves sculpting, drawing, and singing, and also, he simply adores swimming! Due to his busy schedule, it is very difficult to combine school, rehabilitation, and swimming right now, but Marko dreams of returning to the pool soon.
Unfortunately, Mark's fight for health continues. Due to the boy's active growth, the problem of shortening of his left leg and arm is becoming more acute again. In order to keep up with this “growth” and not lose the progress achieved, it is critically important for the boy to continue regular rehabilitation courses. Doctors emphasize that there is still a chance to significantly improve Mark's condition if work is done before he reaches the age of 10.
Marko's family, who were forced to leave their home in Donetsk region because of the war, are still renting an apartment in Kyiv. Marko's mom devotes all her time to caring for her son, and it is very difficult for her to raise the necessary amount for the next rehabilitation course on her own.
We are turning to you for help again. Your support will allow Marko not only to not lose what he has achieved, but also to continue moving forward - to a full life, barrier-free education, and his favorite hobby.
