Little lungs need air

The spread of the Covid-19 virus on the territory of Ukraine has pointed to another acute problem that exists in our country - a shortage of artificial lung ventilation (LVA) devices in hospitals. These apparatus are indispensable for the purpose of supplying oxygen to the human body when it cannot breathe on its own and during operations. Unfortunately, there are no free LVA units in the intensive care unit of the Rivne Regional Children's Hospital, which, by its technical capabilities, would meet the standards of medical care in "COVID-19". 

And this means that the chances of saving a child's life are much less… this is a critical situation, especially when hospitals are filling patients due to the spread of coronavirus, and Rivne CSTO is on the hospital's list for emergency response in case of complications of the epidemiology Covid-19 virus situation.

The respiratory circuits in this LVA unit are one-off, but as the situation with contours on the market is very difficult right now, we cannot now account for a set of circuits for the apparatus, as suppliers can provide in the presence of products. The outlines will only arrive in May-June. Therefore, we are committed to purchasing the contours at the expense of the Fund.

The device we are raising money for will be able to provide oxygen for children from 3 kg, ie newborns, as well as children with complications of respiratory diseases, cereals and other diseases, including Covid-19. By providing the hospital with such a ventilator, we will provide life for the little ones.

Unfortunately, it is difficult to buy LVA devices at all hospitals in the country at one time. But by doing it step by step – together we can provide the country with everything we need.
