Mom, teach me how to walk. 3
On July 29, 2021, the project "Mother, teach me to walk. 3", the purpose of which was to collect funds to pay for a course of treatment according to the Serbian BDA Professional method for Nikita from Zakordonets for a total amount of UAH 26,725.
Nikitka is actively fighting cerebral palsy, and this was not his first rehabilitation using this technique. Doctors from Serbia come to Ukraine for a certain period and serve a certain number of children who have previously signed up for this course.
The tension in Nikitka's muscles decreases, upper breathing opens, and he moves more freely, and many other positive changes occur in the boy's body thanks to this treatment. Therefore, Maryna's mother really wanted her son to receive this treatment.
The collection ended in October 2020, but, unfortunately, quarantine measures made their adjustments: doctors could not enter the territory of our country, and we repeatedly postponed treatment according to Letter #2910/01 dated October 29, 2020 and Letter #1705 /02 from May 17, 2021.
The submission of the report was postponed to the beginning of 2022, but in November, the boy's mother contacted us and asked us to use the collected funds to buy a wheelchair for her son, because treatment is still impossible. According to Letter No. 2411/02 dated November 24, 2022. the goal of the project was changed to the purchase of a multifunctional chair.
Now Nikita is 6 years old. The child lacks the skills of independent movement. Nikita underwent two operations using the Ulzibat method and now requires long-term, regular and expensive rehabilitation.
Next year, Nikitka will go to the first grade. In order for the boy to have the opportunity to study together with all the children, to have full communication with his peers, he needs a wheelchair so that his parents have the opportunity to get to the educational institution.
"I am always with my son. Only a man works. All our funds are aimed at the treatment and rehabilitation of our son, so we are unable to provide him with the necessary technical means of transportation. So they are forced to look for assistants. That's why I'm asking for help from caring people," Maryna's mother shares with us.
The amount of the cart was UAH 33,500, the payment fund was UAH 26,725, and the parents paid the rest from their own funds.
On November 30, 2020, Nikitka received a stroller and is already using it!
