Mom, I have no childhood! 2

Eve sits at the table and colors a funny picture. The girl is 11 years old and she is absolutely no different from her peers. We visited Eva in a rehabilitation center where she is undergoing treatment. Why does she need treatment? The girl hardly gets up from the table and we see how, in the literal sense, the earth moves away from under her feet. 

Eva was born at 29-30 week. The first few days the baby was in a stable severe condition in intensive care. On the seventh day, the child was disconnected from the ventilator and transferred to the ward under the supervision of doctors. This period was very difficult. Only 2 months later, Eva and her mother were discharged from the hospital. And from that moment the thorny path to health has begun. Since two months old, Eva is constantly undergoing rehabilitation and has been studying at home. Permanent work could not give results. But, unfortunately, when a child with cerebral palsy begins to grow rapidly, the body does not cope with this and body deformations begin to develop.

Eva had such a deformity on her feet, which led to the surgery. Now the results which were gained over the years need to be permanently maintained by physical exertion. Eva is in need of regular rehabilitation. It improves balance, strengthens and develop muscles, develop confidence in and strengths. In order for Eva not to lag behind in the development, a lot of work has already been done. The last stage is left – to teach her to stand firmly on her feet and to walk on her own without fear.
