Maternal duty to live. 4

Christmas holidays are coming, but Daniela, who is eight years old, is very anxious. Her mother feels bad, urgently needs medicines, and the only way to get them on time is to seek mercy from people around her.

Olya has been living all her life with severe disease – cystic fibrosis, but she learned its name only a year and a half ago. The disease had too much time to progress and severely damaged the internal organs. In particular, Olya's lungs are now in a very severe condition. The woman is almost entirely dependent on the oxygen concentrator, even in the best periods. She will have terrible shortness of breath without it. But now, Olya finds it difficult to breathe even with the device operating at the maximum power. There's another outbreak of chronic infection in her lungs. And the tests have shown that she is resistant to many medicines. Therefore, the choice of what to use to drown out this exacerbation is not significant. Medications are expensive, and large quantities of them are necessary. The high-dose antibiotic therapy is a specific feature of cystic fibrosis treatment.

Due to the administrative changes, the woman cannot now receive money for this treatment from the budget. Her village is located on the territory where administrative subordination has changed. But this transition is still in progress. Now the powers have not been fully transferred, and there is simply no government body or official that should consider Olya's request for her treatment funding. The transition period will end sometime, but Olya needs treatment right now. Every day of life on the outbreak peak is very exhausting. The faster the intensive treatment starts, the more likely Olya will win and stay alive.  And she has people to live for.
