Mommy, I'm in so much pain!
We are appealing to all caring people with a request to help a wonderful girl Katrusia undergo a vital rehabilitation course after a complex spinal cord surgery! It is hard to imagine what it is like to live with constant pain. And this little fragile girl overcomes it every day without losing her optimism, humor and faith in people. Her big heart is always filled with compassion and a desire to help others!
Katia was born prematurely weighing 1.5 kg. The long sleepless nights before the intensive care unit, when doctors gave no guarantees for her little life, ended in victory. She survived! But she received a terrible diagnosis – cerebral palsy and spasticity, which prevents her from moving and living! This is how the daily struggle for every little movement, every sound and word, every independent sip began! It would seem such a trifle – the child opened her palms, held a rattle, just woke up at night crying not 5, but 2 times. These small – big victories are such an incomprehensible happiness for the family...
Thanks to constant rehabilitation and hard daily work, Katia has achieved remarkable success. She has become a person with her own hobbies and preferences, a unique sense of humor and a thirst for life. But the spasticity in her arms and legs causes her pain and interferes with her life. She endures it like a real fighter. But she still complains and asks: "Mommy, I'm in so much pain, can't you do something about it?". And this breaks a mother's heart! A complicated and risky surgery can help her. My parents hesitated for a long time, they were scared. But finally they decided on the operation, which should permanently relieve the girl of pain.
Katia is a small bright person with a big heart. Since the beginning of the war, she has turned her hobby of weaving bracelets into a means of helping the soldiers. She started making jewelry with patriotic symbols, and all the proceeds from the sales were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now she needs help herself and hopes that people will respond and she will succeed.
