I won't be defeated. 3

Valik is 15 years old, he is from Makiivka. Several years ago, having miraculously escaped from the hell of war, mother and son found themselves in Kyiv, homeless and poor. Sometimes they really find shelter in the church. However, that is only one problem from those ills fallen on the family. All their lives was a fight with terrible Valik's disease – cerebral palsy.

The boy has the mother only as the father left the family with the words "I do not want to work for you for a lifetime" when Valentyn was younger than one year old. A loving mother who devoted her life to her only child, doctor Biersieniev who treats Valentyn in his clinic for many years and inexpressible boy's desire to live and enjoy life help fighting with boy's disease.

This both sad and reassuring story started 15 years ago when a terrible ICP diagnosis became the result the of unsuccessful Caesarean operation. The whole life of little Valik and his mother fell down as a house of cards - dad left her for another woman, there was no job, life for one pension was rather survival. "We do not have holidays", his mother says.
For all these years she practised physical therapy and massage with her child, took him in Donetsk for rehabilitation. They tried everything!

For Biersieniev's clinic every child is special, and Valik from Makeyevka as well. Physicians want to make every child healthy and happy. And that is possible! The words of Valik's mom only confirm this: “Nine years ago Valik sat in a wheelchair with crooked legs, could not speak, and now he can stand by himself, walk with support and his speech is slowly recovering! Thanks to our doctors! I believe that every course of treatment makes moving easier for my son. Thanks to all of those who help my son, as I bring him by myself and we do not have other relatives. If it was not for the fund's and all concerned people's support I do not even know how I would pay for the next course. Many thanks and deepest gratitude for help and support".
