MENTAL FEST. Antidepression

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, which is celebrated annually on October 10, ARC Barwinok will hold events within the framework of the general project MENTAL FEST. Official figures say that of the 870 million people living in the European Region, 100 million people are in a state of anxiety and depression. In addition, there is a definite relationship between the intensity of sunlight and the occurrence of depressions. Therefore, the chosen theme for the upcoming autumn MENTAL FEST is "Antidepression".

The dependence of bad mood and depression on the season has long been noticed. Long and gloomy autumn and winter can cause seasonal depression (seasonal affective disorder). There is a definite relationship between the intensity of sunlight and the occurrence of depressions. Perhaps that is why World Mental Health Day is celebrated annually on October 10? By this date ARC "Barvinok" intends to hold events within the framework of the general project "MENTAL FEST" aimed at:

- popularization of mental health in Ukraine,

- the embodiment of ideas of disability for people with mental disorders, their friends and relatives,

- training in various ways to cope with the manifestations of depression.

The events "MENTAL FEST. Antidepression" will be held on the territory of the Psycho-neurological dispensary No. 5 (Kiev), so the collected funds are needed only for the purchase of stationery, various materials for art therapy, payment for the work of the festival organizer and for development, design and printing leaflets with information about depression.

At the locations of "MENTAL FEST. Antidepression" specialized specialists in a dynamic game form will help people with mental disorders to find possible causes of bad mood and learn about effective ways to improve their condition and prevent depression.
