Angelina Chernysheva from the city of Izium is 18 years old. The girl has the most severe degree of curvature – 4th. Over the past year, the spine has bent up to 50 degrees. It is difficult for the girl to breathe and walk, the pain does not let go even at night. Only difficult operation will help to straighten Angelina's back - installation of a metal structure on the spine. The operation will be payed by the state, but the girl's mother has to pay for the expensive metalwork herself. She cannot raise the required amount of money.

Angelina is a first-year student at Donetsk National Medical University and has not believed in miracles and Santa Claus for a long time.
– For ten years, in order to straighten my back, I wore correction corsets, went in for swimming and physiotherapy exercises, went to massages and rehabilitation, – says Angelina. – But the miracle did not happen. On the contrary, a hump has grown. And we must somehow live with it. Angelina's health problems began in early childhood.
– Yes, Alya's childhood was not easy, – recalls Natalia, the girl's mother. – Due to concomitant diseases, such as: X-shaped curvature of the legs, cardiomyopathy, torticollis, biliary dyskinesia and hydrocephalus, Angelina spent all her childhood in hospital beds. Thanks to her iron character and incredible patience, we managed to overcome all these diseases.
At the age of 9, Angelina and her mother Natalia went to an orthopedist for a routine examination.
– A common thing, - the orthopedist reassured Natalia, examining the girl's back.
– It's scoliosis. Probably, you sit in the classroom incorrectly, at home you are slouched at the computer. “I sit like everyone else,” Angelina said then. – Only none of the guys have a backache, but I have a very, very.
The doctor recommended the girl to take a pool, exercise therapy and massage. According to him, all this should definitely help. The courses of massages, exercise therapy, electrophoresis, treatment in sanatoriums began. After the massage and exercises, Anya felt some relief, the pain subsided, but not for long. Sleeping on your back was completely impossible. And in 2014, Angelina received a disability due to scoliosis, since the treatment was not effective, and she was diagnosed with S-shaped idiopathic scoliosis of the 3rd degree.

“We immediately started wearing a Chenot corset,” Natalya says. – My daughter slept in a corset, went to school, was at home. Considering that this is a plastic construction, in which the child walked constantly, it was ridicule from other children, and pain, and tears.
Unfortunately, this did not bring the expected results.
– Everything possible was done to avoid the operation, given its trauma and danger.
In January 2020, Angelina's mother consulted the University Clinic of Kharkiv National Medical University. The girl was examined by the head of the department of orthopedics and traumatology Dmitry Petrenko and diagnosed with right-sided thoracic idiopathic scoliosis of the 4th degree. The doctor said that only the operation would help Angelina.
“If it is not done, the curvature will progress,” he warned. – The deformation has already led to a violation of the functions of internal organs. The heart works intermittently, from squeezing and displacement of organs, there is a deformation of the chest with a violation of the function of external respiration. Angelina's operation will be carried out with the help of special metal structures, which will strengthen the girl's spine, she will need to be paid for. The fact is that the state quota does not cover the cost of the expensive metal structure of the model that Angelina needs. And for a girl's family, this is an astronomical amount.
“Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds that are needed for my daughter's operation,” says Natalya. – Angelina's father, with whom I was previously legally married, was deprived of parental rights since 2005 and is a persistent defaulter of alimony. Therefore, I can only rely on myself, raising two children. If you do not have time to do the operation on time, irreversible consequences may occur, and I may simply lose it.
As a child, Angelina thought a lot and for a long time "What she wants to become." But at one of these moments, the girl burst into tears and tore out a notebook sheet. And then on a new page I wrote only three words: "I want to be healthy.
