Mobile psychological brigade

The project “Mobile psychological support” is aimed to provide psychological support in Stryy district Lviv region to the families in difficult living circumstances and to those that have mental disorders.

With the beginning of Covid -19 pandemic even more people need psychological support because they appeared in isolation, the number of depression or anxiety cases have grown.

We plan trips of mobile brigade 1-2 times per week to the communities of Stryy district. We plan to cooperate with the municipal social services. We will visit families with a big number of children, families where children or adults with mental or physical disorders are living. Psychologists and occupational therapists will provide consultations and try to prevent aggression, depression, violence, even possible suicides, will help to improve living practices and get socialized.

Such practice is widely spread abroad and prevents social tension and helps to improve quality of life of people. With this project we want to promote mental health care and encourage development of social services in communities for people with mental disorders.
