My goal is to get on my feet

Sometimes children start to fight for their lives right from the moment of birth, but in the case of Vadim – life did not even give him the opportunity to fully form and gain strength in his mother's tummy. The boy was born when his mother Elena was only 6 months pregnant! His weight was only 1.4 kg, the baby could not breathe on its own, because of which Vadimchik was in intensive care for some time. These were extremely difficult days for the boy's parents, the mom recalls with pain: "It's so hard to look at your baby when he's lying down with tubes, helpless, and you realize you can't help".

And so, it seems like the heaven ky lightened up, the boy gained 2 kg of weight, they were discharged from the hospital, but this difficulty did not end there. Parents began to notice that their child was lagging behind: Vadim did not sit or do what children at his age should already do. In a year he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and recommended systematic and intensive treatment to achieve developmental results.

Now Vadim is 11 years old, he has undergone more than 20 rehabilitation courses, the last – thanks to charitable contributions to the project, which was also opened at UBB. Exercises at the clinic effectively affected the boy's well-being, and Vadim himself worked hard. The boy goes to school and learns well. Vadim already knows how to walk on hand, which is an extremely big achievement for a boy! He has chances to get on his feet, learn how to walk, run, jump, play football, but for that he needs rehabilitations that reduce muscle tone and allow him to better control his body movements. In small steps, the family is moving towards a normal life, but there is so much work ahead…

In the near future, Vadimchyk will undergo a leg operation, after which rehabilitation will be needed, as the muscles will need to be restored and toned. Therefore, rehabilitation is scheduled for March 30.
