A young mother needs help!

On 28 July 2018 Olha and her husband got into a terrible accident that happened at Tatarbunary, Odessa region. Olha’s husband, 22 years-old Serhii, died at the scene from his injuries. Olha, in a critical condition, with numerous injuries (fracture of seven ribs, collarbone, sacrum, severe injury of the brain stem with hematomas, coma of the 2nd degree) was delivered to Odessa Resuscitation. 

The girl underwent several operations and a very complicated and long-term rehabilitation in the center of "NODUS". Specialists of this center said that they could help and that Olga had chances to live. Thanks to the UBB donors, as well as family friends, relatives and acquaintances, the family was able to pay for the rehabilitation. In the center of "Nodus" Olga went through a course of rehabilitation treatment, which resulted in the restoration of consciousness from a coma of the II degree to the clear consciousness, the act of swallowing was restored, regress of tetraparesis and reduction of spasticity were achieved. Now Olga seated by herself takes food by her own, holds the tableware in her right hand and uses it, goes with third-party help, stands, holding her right arm for resistance.

The treatment has yielded very good results. And it is impossible to stop on the achievements, it is necessary to continue the restoration. The next courses of treatment will be held at the Vitalcentr. The family has no such money for treatment; Olha’s mom asks for help to all those who are not indifferent. Girl’s family believes and hopes that she will soon be able to recover. As a little daughter Polina, only a year and four months old, is waiting for Olha! The baby is already left without father and she definitely needs a mommy!
