Youth Club for adults with Down Syndrome

On November 30, 2020, the Youth Club for People with Down Syndrome project was launched on the Dobro.ua UBB website. The aim of the project is to raise funds for the organization of distance and face-to-face classes with young people with Down syndrome. Twice a month, online classes were held with young people with Down syndrome from different cities of Ukraine (10-12 people) on the topic "What is money?". A total of 13 classes were held. From May to September, 4 face-to-face meetings were held - birthday celebrations, excursions. These meetings were attended by 8-10 young people.
The funds raised were spent on:
remuneration of specialists working in the Youth Club for the preparation and implementation of these activities - coordinator and social educator;
purchase of consumables for face-to-face meetings (food, souvenirs for participants);
as well as the services of a communication manager and accountant to support the project.
