In spite of all of that, a 20-year-old Ivan Pavliuk from Ukraine still hopes for a better life. Mechanical hands can become a valuable alternative for a fellow. But for this purpose an operation on replacement of own "killing" hands of Ivan is needed on prosthetic appliances.

Ivan lives in a tiny village in Carpathians, Ukraine. He was born with a rare Ollier’s disease. There are only 60 cases are registered in the whole world. It causes tumors in the bones. His parents didn’t go to the doctors, and he thought it was impossible to change anything. In recent year a tumour began headily to grow, new formations appeared yet and on feet.

Luckily, the head of his village thought the opposite. That is why she turned to Embarrassing Bodies Ukraine, the medical TV project that accepts even the hardest cases. The doctors of this project made a diagnosis. Such a complicated patient gathered more than 200 Ukrainian orthopedists, and all as one say his hands have to be amputated as soon as possible.

Ivan is already ready to it. But he wants to have normal life, become a programmer, to continue educating in an university, to get married and have children.
