Stefania's dream. 2
Stefania, a bright girl with an incomparable smile, dreams of walking. Her life was turned upside down when her family was forced to leave their home. Now they live in Poltava, where they moved from Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region. This is not the first time they have been displaced; back in 2014, the family had to flee the war from their native Luhansk.
From the first days of their youngest daughter Stefania's life to the present day, the family has been working to restore their baby's health. Unfortunately, Stefania does not stand, does not walk and only tries to sit. Constant training at home and visits to the swimming pool give some results, but it is not enough.
Stefania needs a comprehensive rehabilitation program that includes work with various specialists and special equipment, which is possible only in specialized centers. The cost of such treatment is far beyond the family's means.
Stefania is a very diligent and obedient girl. She loves water coloring, modeling with plasticine, blowing soap bubbles, making art mosaics, spending time on the swing and diving in the pool. She is interested in everything that happens around her. Twice a week, she visits a speech therapist, where she is constantly expanding her vocabulary and learning to form sentences. She learns letters, numbers, seasons, wild and domestic animals, emotions, opposites, vegetables and fruits. The child listens attentively to stories and memorizes new words, which she then repeats.
Stefania enjoys playing with her older sister Maria and tries to repeat everything after her. Despite all the difficulties, the girl remains optimistic and dreams of walking on her own to catch up with Maria during their walks together.
Treatment at the rehabilitation center is a chance for the child to learn to walk.
Let's unite for the sake of this little girl's big dream!
