Stefania's dream. 3

Stefania is a wonderful four-year-old girl who, despite all the difficulties, does not lose interest in the world. She enjoys learning numbers, making mosaics, playing with kinetic sand, listening to fairy tales and looking at books with illustrations and windows. She loves to play with her older sister Mariya and tries to do everything after her. And the girl's main dream is to learn to walk on her own so that she can catch up with her sister during walks.

The girl was born with a severe diagnosis, which causes complications in the form of developmental delays, foot problems, partial optic nerve atrophy and strabismus. Stefania does not stand or walk, but she tries to sit, and thanks to constant training at home and visits to the pool, the first results are showing. However, this is not enough – professional rehabilitation is needed.

Stefania's family was forced to leave their home twice because of the war: in 2014, they moved from Luhansk, and since March 2022, they have been living in Poltava. Despite all the challenges, the parents are doing everything possible to restore their daughter's health. Previous rehabilitation courses have shown positive dynamics: spasticity has decreased, movements have become smoother, the first steps with a walker and progress in speech have appeared.

The next course of rehabilitation is vital to maintain and improve the results achieved. However, the cost of one course is unaffordable for a family that spends all its resources on the child's treatment and development.
