What happened to the lungs? Why is it so hard to breathe today? Cystic fibrosis is a serious genetic disease that must be constantly monitored and restrained. Regular examinations and timely passing of tests in combination with daily medication, inhalations and physiotherapy are what fight disease every new day of life.

Control of the condition of the lungs in the form of an assessment of external breathing functions is one of the urgent needs of people with cystic fibrosis. This assessment is performed with a special device – a spirograph. This is how the severity of the patient's lung damage is revealed. The results help doctors monitor the development of the disease and draw conclusions about the effectiveness of treatment, change the prescription.

The disease cannot be avoided by the fact that it is dangerous for the patient to go to the hospital for routine or urgent examination due to the war or epidemiological situation. If the treatment is not enough, the disease will progress. But we can help by purchasing home spirographs for those patients who need them most. In this way, it will be possible to inform the doctor of the results of the analysis and quickly and timely receive an appointment in order to prevent exacerbation or to detect it in time. A spirograph is a chance for a person with cystic fibrosis to save their lungs. Stop, you can save someone's life here.

On dobro.ua we are raising funds for 3 spirographs for the wards of our foundation.
