Hope for a new life

The project was created as part of the #GivingTuesday charity movement and launched on 27 November 2023 on the website https://dobro.ua/. The goal was to raise UAH 99,114.00.

During the fundraising for the project, in January 2024, we reduced the project amount to UAH 69708.00 by letter No. 02\24, as we received donations from other sources of funding for this purpose and still needed to raise funds for 4 vials of Octaplex. However, due to the fact that the project had been in the works for a long time, we updated the project text to emphasise its relevance.

Due to the receipt of a second donation to the fund's account for this purpose, we stopped the collection on dobro.ua in the amount of UAH 19,390.00, which had been collected.

On 19 September, we paid the invoice for the drug Octaplex in the total amount of UAH 55,877.00 (fifty-five thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven hryvnias and 00 kopecks), including funds from the Charitable Organisation ‘UBB’ in the amount of UAH 19390.00 (nineteen thousand three hundred and ninety hryvnias and 00 kopecks).

 According to the Acceptance Certificate dated 02 October 2024, 3 packages of the drug were transferred to the balance of the maternity hospital.

 The use of Octaplex is an integral part of medical practice. This drug skilfully balances blood coagulation, providing fast and effective assistance in case of heavy blood loss during labour. It has the ability to quickly and reliably restore coagulation parameters and reduce the risk of serious postpartum complications, such as haemorrhagic shock or disseminated intravascular coagulation, and ensures the stability of the patient's condition. Thus, Octaplex in the maternity ward is a vital tool to ensure the safety of the mother and newborn, providing an effective response and preserving the health of both.
