Nazariy has started to see again, although his hearing has not yet returned. Doctors say he is doing well and is taking important steps to restore his health. Recently, the boy was on a ventilator and fed through a tube, and now he is eating and drinking with a spoon!

Nazariy has always been an active child: he was fond of swimming and playing computer games, spoke fluent English and dreamed of visiting Japan.

His life changed dramatically in the fall of 2024. One day in September, Nazariy's temperature rose sharply. After 3 days his condition seemed to improve, he even started playing with his sister Nastia. But the next day, the boy's father came to his room and found his son convulsing. Doctors at the Ternopil Regional Hospital spent two months trying to stop the seizures. On the third day, due to breathing problems, Nazariy was fitted with a tracheostomy.
