Feed the elderly during quarantine

Today, almost 740 thousand single elderly people live in Ukraine. All of them are at risk today. The quarantine announced in Ukraine is aimed, first of all, at preventing the spread of the virus among the elderly population vulnerable to the disease. The danger of becoming infected with the COVID-19 virus makes them hostages of their own homes. The issue of buying and delivering food, hygiene products, and medicines to single grandparents remains relevant today.

The issue of buying and delivering food, hygiene products, and medicines to single grandparents remains relevant today.

The Kharkiv Regional Charitable Fund "Social Assistance Service" has been implementing assistance projects for older people since 1999. “Home care”, “Club of active longevity “Second Youth” provide the beneficiaries with a range of social services, including the purchase and delivery of food. Today, these projects need the support of nearly 80 people. Most of them, single grandparents, to whom the road to the street is categorically closed today!

Our main task is to provide them with food in this difficult period of time. We ask each of you to take part in a charity initiative and donate any amount to food packages for our wards. In total we need to collect 28 848 UAH. so that the grandparents, who were left completely alone, again did not encounter a terrible feeling of hunger!
