Feed the hungry children!

Dear benefactors, supporters and just good people, today I want to appeal to you to help us raise funds for the 62 food packages for people who find themselves in difficult circumstances and internally displaced persons in the east of Ukraine and Crimea. There is a paradoxical situation when someone buys an expensive fur coat or jewelry, but someone don’t have a few hryvnia to buy bread . Many of us are not even aware of the existence of such a phenomenon , but the reality is this. Employees of "Caritas" as anyone familiar with this situation, because we see these families every day.

"I'm hungry!" – with such request to Danylo comes to us every day, he is 8 years old. He, his mother and two sisters came from Donetsk. They moved when the war began on their territory. Mom employed as a cleaner. Her salary is 700 UAH for a month. It is clear that to feed a family with a lack of funds is impossible. And we know that children need new clothes, shoes, stationery.

Apart from 30 families-immigrants, "Caritas Khmelnytskyi” patronizes many families of Khmelnitsky region, before which there was a question of survival and that for various reasons, are not able to even buy bread for their children. What to speak of meat, dairy products or sweets. Such families living below the poverty line, were left alone with their problems. Children who are brought up in these families have become hostages of the situation and are forced to suffer from hunger and hardship.

Khmelnytskyi Regional Charitable Foundation "Caritas" for 13 years working with children from large, crisis and low-income families. Today, we have 251 children (62 families) under guardianship. For a long time we have helped these unfortunate people on their own, but today, our resources are exhausted! More than half has been collected with the help of local people. At the moment, we lack 10 thousand UAH for the purchase of 62 food packages.

So don’t be indifferent to the problems of our young compatriots, because their needs are not as great – just a meal for survival!
