The main goal is to walk!

The life of Artem and his family split into "before" and "after" six years ago. As a result of an accident, while diving into the sea, Artem broke his spine in the cervical region with damage of the spinal cord and at the same moment he was paralyzed. On the next day an operation was performed to install the implant. After resuscitation and long treatment, the diagnosis sounded like a sentence: upper paraparesis and lower paraplegia with various types of complications. Before the injury, Artem led an active lifestyle, spent a lot of time with his family, they all together went out of town, to the sea, travelled every vacation. All of this remained in happy memories.

At the time of being in the hospital, Artem could only raise his hands, he learned to roll over, sit down, hold a spoon, elementary things that people do without hesitation, he learned to do with great difficulty. Thanks to the support of Irina, his wife, Natasha, his daughter, and Oleg, his son, in 6 years Artem has walked a difficult path to recovery. Thanks to the support of caring people, Artem got the opportunity to attend Motus Physiotherapy Gymnasium. Artem was gradually, slowly, but surely recovering from the bedridden patient. Now he can roll over on his own, sit down, change from bed to a wheelchair, hold things in his hands.

His most important goal is to walk, albeit in orthoses and with a walker, but to walk. This became possible with Motus. Artem tries very hard, gives all the best in every work-out. But, due to the lack of finances, the frequency of classes will have to be reduced or stopped altogether. Without these work-outs, Artem can lose all the acquired skills very quickly. The bill for rehabilitation treatment for a year is UAH 86 400. We ask everyone who can help Artem to continue his recovery, to provide support!
