Scientific picnics in Ukraine

How long can you hear that it is not right time for education? If children are not interested in learning, the future for Ukraine is undefined. Let's not allow it to be true together! For the third year we organize events to popularize science among children across Ukraine. We go from east to west, from south to north uniting Ukraine with science! Unfortunately, the war in the country changed the priorities, and we have not received a grant for scientific picnics. Therefore, we need help from everyone who cares about education and science!

Scientific Picnics are interactive experiments for residents of different cities of Ukraine. In tents in parks or other public areas we combine science with fun. We attract professionals, researchers, enthusiasts who share their knowledge with the public. Scientific picnics are not theory, but exciting, entertaining, revealing the secrets of physics, chemistry, biology and other fields of science. We show that science is literally everywhere around us. Besides technologically sophisticated part our experiments are based on a completely everyday objects: balls, glue, paint, balloons or even straw to drink. Thus everyone can easily repeat the experiment at home.

In September we plan to hold Scientific picnics in 10 cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Lutsk, Dubno, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Vinnytsia. Part of the funding has already been found, but we still need quite a bit of money on materials for experimenters.
