Learn to hear

The project is aimed at improving the technical equipment of a special boarding school №18 in Kyiv for children with hearing impairments. Within the framework of the project, 3 modules of specialized educational equipment for deaf teachers will be purchased, the food unit of the educational institution, and the fire alarm system will be updated taking into account the peculiarities of the educational institution.

The priority is to purchase training and correction equipment with software "World of Sounds" for individual lessons, which includes: a computer, mouse, microphone, speaker system, and special software for the development of hearing and speech of children.

The kit provides teachers with the opportunity to identify and improve the state of hearing, speech, and general development of the child, the level of auditory perception and skills recognition, auditory differentiation of sounds, as a basis for the formation of speech perception. The screen of the set shows images of objects and phenomena of the surrounding world, the speaker system reproduces their inherent sounds. Different types of exercises are used to study, recognize, play non-speech sounds, and speech sounds.

By offering play activities, children develop the ability to observe, memorize, distinguish, and identify sounds during interesting cognitive activities.
