Dear friends meet little Liza. The baby is a vivid example of how everything in life can change in one second and change the lives of everyone around. A child was born in a family. Loved, desired, and healthy. But let us tell all in order. Lizochka was born on June 3, 2014, in the city of Kyiv. From the very birth, the baby developed normally and did not differ from her peers: at 10 months she went, from 1 year old she began to speak her first words. But when Lizochka was one and a half years old, the situation began to change.

At first, the baby became agitated and irritable. Then the problems with sleep and behavior started. Liza's psycho-emotional state got worsened every day. All acquired skills of self-service and speech were lost. The child has stopped developing and understanding others. A new, completely different life began. Coming over multiple doorsteps and taking endless consultations in order to understand what did happen to their beloved daughter and what was going on?

At first, doctors were unable to establish the correct diagnosis and determine the cause of the disease. Only after 2 grueling years of endless medical research, it was found out that Liza's condition was caused by invasive damage to the brain neurons in the areas of speech formation, cognitive abilities, and motor coordination. Cognitive epitoleptomorphic encephalopathy with an autism spectrum disorder. This is Lizochka's diagnosis.

In two years, since a correctly established diagnosis, Lisa's treatment was aimed at stopping the processes of further brain damage. Liza's condition was partially stabilized thanks to long-term medication intake and four courses of brain micropolarization. Due to the illness, all that time the baby was deprived of the opportunity to attend kindergarten and communicate with peers. Now Liza begins to live anew. Mastering elementary movements, learning to pronounce words, and communicate with others.

Recently, in order to get a consultation, the mother with her daughter visited the center of practical inclusion “Erudit”. The center works according to the methods developed by specialists from six different countries of the world. All these techniques with a large technical base of equipment help children with autism socialize, adapt, and restore all the vital life skills. Liza has prescribed a program for a year. It costs 303 200 UAH a year.

All diagnostics and treatment of Liza's disease require constant costly medical research (tractography of the affected areas of the brain, quantitative encephalograms, etc.), classes with a speech therapist, developmental pediatrician, psychologist, the use of neuromodulation and inclusive education techniques, as well as intensive rehabilitation measures. Parents are not able to pull out all that financially. So they really need us to help them together!

Our dear donators! Please help us to collect half of the money we need – 152 000 UAH for Lizochka.

Please, help the child to get back to a normal and fulfilling life!
