Do not let a hungry old age!

The indifference of the Ukrainian authorities to the old people, pension reform, reduction of the benefits and increasing of tariffs for utility payments drove the pensioners in the corner. To survive being an alone old person in Ukraine is a very difficult task.

With the minimum pension people have to pay huge bills for utilities and on the remaining pennies have to buy medicines, and the most necessary food. In order to maintain lonely pensioners more than 17 years the charity canteen works.

There any person can come and receive a hot meal. Every day in the canteen come more than 350 people. The products for cooking 1 meal for the pensioner cost 15 UAH. Monthly need of the canteen in the products is 24 900 UAH. The old people are the full-fledged citizens of their country.

Our older generation is a gold fund, treasury of experience and maybe it is a treasure which Ukraine is looking for and cannot find to become happy and rich. Mercy and care for the elderly should be exercised not only during special events but every day. With our example of right attitude for elderly we want to pass the torch to future generations which will apply to us in the same way.
