Do not give the enemy any chance

What is the deadliest enemy for the kids born with the cystic fibrosis? Serious infections’ bacteria settling in the lungs cause chronic lung disease, keeping children away from breathing. It means strict requirements not only for the cleanliness but also to the sterility. It implies that small cups of the inhalation devices, inhalation trainers and sometimes even utensils shall be sterilized after every use. Every day for life. The life itself depends upon it.

Sometimes mothers use different disinfectors, but some bacteria still remain and could not be removed with these chemicals, and, the child inhales both chemicals and bacteria during the next inhalation… The one-size-fits-all approach used the most frequently is boiling when all utensils are put in the pan and boiled. The bacteria die at the temperature of 100°C, though some deposition is being gradually formed on the walls of small cups, plastic grows yellow and becomes useless. However, the most complicated thing is to ensure sterility when it is time to go to the hospital. The cystic fibrosis is cruel; it does not give indulgences and forgive the rules’ non-observation. So it turns out that a qualitative, powerful, convenient sterilizer is literally the dream of every family where there is a patient with such a disease.

Every boy and every girl born with cystic fibrosis is struggling daily with his/her life. Medications, inhalations, whole sets of physical exercises - no one can do it instead of them. And they work hard through "I do not want to", through "tired", through "no strength", again and again, fighting day by day. We want to do what we can – provide the equipment they need in this fight. For our boys and girls could use all the existing chances and live out.

The aim of the project is to buy 8 sterilizers for 8 patients with cystic fibrosis from among our wards, who enrolled in the queue.
