Not isolated. Help me survive.

Problem: During quarantine, homeless people are one of the most vulnerable categories of the population. They cannot isolate themselves and wash their hands frequently. Most of them have chronic diseases and weak immunity. Now homeless people cannot even eat: cafes and restaurants that shared food with them were quarantined, and people rarely leave their homes. Since March 18, the railway station, public places and heating points where they could find a temporary shelter have been closed in Kyiv.

Quarantine measures save those who have a home. But in the case of the homeless, inaction can lead to a large number of deaths. Not needed by anyone, they die on the street from starvation while we stay in warm houses.

Solution: Start a campaign #i_am_left_on_the_street to raise funds for emergency local assistance to homeless people who are now on the verge of survival. At the start of the campaign, 2 000 grocery sets and personal protective sets will be purchased with the funds raised. In addition to food that will help them hold out for some time (2-3 days), personal protective equipment will be included in each set.

The cost of filling one such set of assistance is 148.80 UAH. The total cost of the project, together with transportation and administrative expenses is 359 768 UAH.

The distribution of aid sets will take place in Kyiv during the quarantine period. Every day from Monday to Friday for a month, the project volunteers will distribute these sets in the districts of the capital (Darnitsky, Shevchenkovsky, Podil), where there are large concentrations of homeless people. Vehicles with sets will run along the route on weekdays from 10 to 19 hours.

During this time, we want to give out 2 000 sets.
