Let the sun shine for Nelia! Stage 4

It’s so unbearably sad to watch the life of a sunny and cute child from birth being shrouded in darkness of merciless diagnosis. Cerebral palsy. Our Nelya is a charming girl! As a real Sun, she gives her warmth to all around. Her fragile arms are s like rays stretching to embrace each person! She is so open to the world, while the world, so far, has been answering her only with pain and suffering.

Nelya was born in a close-knit family, her birth was being waited for impatiently. Nobody could have foreseen that terrible strike upon the family that would overshadow the happiness of this long-awaited child coming to this world. Hypoxia obtained due to birth injury, led to the most complex form ofcerebral palsy. Low muscle tone does not allow the girl to move freely, speech disorder and delay in intellectual development deprive her of the opportunity to fully interact with the world. Things that are so easily and naturally learnt by the usual kiddies: to sit, stand, walk, hold a spoon and eat, for Nelya are hard, sometimes impossible tasks!

Multiple courses of rehabilitation eased them only partly. A truly remarkable improvement came only after Nelia had a course of treatment in the clinic of Dr. Bersenev, where even such a terrible diagnosis as cerebral palsy is defied. Now Nelya can move more freely, there is a hope that the girl can learn so many other things in her life and that the usual childish joys will come to make her life similar to that of other children.

Unfortunately, the girl's parents cannot afford to continue the course of necessary treatment. Together we can help them! Let's help Nelya - our little sun – to shine even brighter! Let Nelya know how bright and interesting may the world around her be! What colors will brighten up her sunny soul then!
