NewRun Lviv Half Marathon: A Run That Recover

The NewRun Lviv Half Marathon is a major event in the running series organized by NewRun, a sports organizer dedicated to promoting running culture by hosting top-tier races across the country. Lviv holds a special place in this series thanks to its vibrant energy and picturesque route. 

Over the past two years, in partnership with Nova Poshta, a series of events dedicated to accessibility has been held. Thanks to participants’ registration fees, approximately 5 million hryvnias were raised, which were directed to support the UNBROKEN Center, Ukraine’s largest medical facility. Here, defenders and civilians, adults and children affected by the war, undergo a full cycle of treatment: from emergency care to prosthetics and psychological rehabilitation. Since the full-scale invasion began, over 28,000 wounded Ukrainians have been treated here, including 550 children. The Center’s areas of focus include reconstructive surgery, orthopedics, and prosthetics. Here, prosthetics are not only fitted but also manufactured on-site. All medical care is provided to patients free of charge. The Center also offers physical, psychological, and psychosocial rehabilitation. 

Organizers are once again joining forces for an important cause! 

Funds are being raised on dobro.ua to organize sports events dedicated to the rehabilitation of war veterans, hosted by the UNBROKEN Center. These events bring together thousands of male and female veterans and civilians who use sports to undergo rehabilitation and improve their physical and emotional well-being. The funds raised will go toward creating a prize pool for the winners of the UNBROKEN Games, which will take place in late May in Lviv.

You can be part of this event and not only do a good deed within this project but also choose one of the distances: 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, or 1 km. 

To participate in the race:

1. Download the racenext.app from the App Store or Play Market

2. Complete verification in the app

3. Select the event in the calendar and the distance you want to run

4. Pay the entry fee 

All participants will receive a finisher’s medal and a starter pack with gifts from partners.
