Nobody is guilty. Just help is needed

Till the end, parents did not believe that Tymofij could have such a serious illness. But DNA analysis confirmed that a 4-year-old boy had cystic fibrosis. No one is to blame here – this disease happens by accident. The probability for a child to have it - only if both father and mother are carriers of  the damaged genes – only 25%. Less than a thousand of such patients have been diagnosed throughout Ukraine. Tymofij's parents are still in the process of realizing the new reality. After all, cystic fibrosis today remains incurable and requires complex daily treatment to control the disease.

Cystic fibrosis is like an evil animal that lives inside the body and gradually destroys it, interfering with the normal functioning of internal organs and systems. Today, Tymofij has already noticeable changes in the tissues of the pancreas and lungs. This is not a sentence. It is possible to stop the progression of the disease, the boy can become an adult and live a long life. But we need to fight for it today.

Only father can work in the family now and most of his salary is spent on rent and food. Despite the fact that parents have already applied for funding for their son's treatment from the local budget, some medicines still have to be bought on their own. And even a bigger problem is that medical equipment can not be bought for budget funds – and the boy needs a lot of it. All of this are: a proper high-calorie diet, medication, equipment – a must for daily treatment. And it all costs more than a family can afford at a time. And cystic fibrosis can't wait.

So, we ask for your help to provide Tymofij with all the basic medical equipment, as well as to close the most acute problems for the next couple of months, just to give the family the opportunity to cope with it on their own and continue the struggle.
