A new life during the war

In May 2023, the project “New Life During the War” was posted on the dobro.ua website, the purpose of which was to raise funds to pay for medical equipment for Zaporizhia Maternity Hospital No. 9.

The initial amount of the collection was UAH 748,675.00. and due to the increase in the price of the equipment, the project amount was increased to UAH 757,530.00.

In May 2024, a sufficient amount was collected to purchase a semi-automatic biochemical analyzer, so we withdrew an amount of UAH 133,000.00 for partial implementation of the project.

On June 1, the equipment was transferred to the institution, and fundraising continued.

A semi-automatic biochemical analyzer is a medical device that automatically performs biochemical blood tests, ensuring accuracy and speed of obtaining results. Its presence in maternity hospitals is important for timely diagnosis and monitoring of the condition of newborns and mothers, which contributes to the effective provision of medical care.

During the entire collection period, we updated the text twice (without changing the purpose of the project) to update information on the project, which was being collected for a long time.

In April of this year, the administration of the medical institution informed us about the structural changes that had occurred: the KNP "Maternity Hospital No. 9" of the Zaporizhzhia MR was merged with the KNP "City Hospital No. 9" of the Zaporizhzhia MR, and an obstetrics and gynecology unit was created on the basis of the hospital to provide medical care to residents of Zaporizhzhia. The current need for equipment has also changed.

Since it is not possible to implement this project, due to the change of the legal entity for which the collection was opened and the updated needs for equipment for the obstetrics and gynecology department, we have requested to stop the collection and reduce the amount to the actually collected, namely: 203,200.54 UAH. 

There is a balance of collected and untransferred funds under the project in the amount of 70,200.54 UAH. Please dispose of it in accordance with the Rules, Principles and Procedures of the UBB ICF. We request the UBB ICF and donors to redirect the balance of collected funds in the amount of 70,200.54 UAH. to the new project of the fund "Life goes on. Thanks to you", which is posted on the dobro.ua platform.Within the framework of this project, we are raising funds for the necessary equipment for the obstetrics and gynecology department of Zaporizhzhia City Hospital No. 9, namely clinical medical centrifuges (3 pcs.) and a colposcopy system.
