War is the worst thing that can happen in people’s lives. When we hear this horrible word, we immediately think that the war is not about our home and our country - war is about someone far away from us. But this time it happened with them - the Crimean Tatars and settlers from the Eastern Ukraine. War broke out in their own home. They had to leave everything to save their lives. And they chose the Western Ukraine as the only hope to escape from the war and save the most precious thing they have - their own life!

They believed for the last minute that the country where they are born and grown can never be in such a terrible military conflict.
Currently CF "Caritas SDD" already has taken care of the Crimean Tatars families and settlers from the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Some refugees found their new homes in CF "Caritas" hostel in Drohobych. The habitants have all the modern conveniences and recently we installed new bath-unit, moreover immigrants can cook in the kitchen, which is equipped especially for them. There is also a camp for all Crimean children in the garage of CF "Caritas". The convenient location of our hostel (city center) helps immigrants to go to the markets and buy food, and everything for daily use. In addition, caring city residents also help refugees, providing them with food, water, toiletries, and medicaments. However, this is not enough to help all families and immigrants from Eastern Ukraine.
That's why we want to improve living conditions for refugees at least a little. We have a great need to purchase bedding, mattresses, pillows and towels. All these things, which are now in use of immigrants, are from second hand and are in the very bad state. We want to create more comfortable conditions for them and to equip six rooms with new bedding sets and other necessary items which will sufficiently improve living conditions in our shelter.
Purchasing of new bedding sets, mattresses, pillows and towels will help us to host more refugee families from the East, and in addition it will help to make proper living conditions and give a little bit of joy for people. After all – these refugees truly believed that the western Ukraine will help them in such a horrible situation and protect them from the war! Finally, we couldn’t stay indifferent, we accept them as one family and hope that our assistance will relieve the pain and fear they came through. We ask you to help us to realize this small people’s dream.
We need 15 120 UAH for 14 sets of bedding sets 290×14, 14 mattresses 500×14, 14 pillows 160×14, 14 small towels 55×14, 14 big towels 90×14. We will be really thankful for those who will join us to help people who are really in need.
