Recovery for Serhii!

Sergiy Rudik was born with severe diagnoses - heart disease (coarctation of the aorta), hearing loss of 5 degrees (deafness) - the boy cannot hear at all in the left ear, he has hearing in the right ear, but to a small extent, thoracolumbar scoliosis (now 4 degrees with a curvature of the spine of 100 degrees). At the time the project was published, it was the treatment of scoliosis that was urgent.

On 11.02.2022, the dobro.ua website posted a help project ‘Recovery for Sergiy!’ to raise funds for the purchase of a transpedicular spinal fixation system. The operation was scheduled for May 2023, but due to an ear disease, it was postponed until November 2023. When Sergiy and his mother went to the clinic in November, the boy underwent a comprehensive clinical, laboratory and instrumental examination for the amount of UAH 9530.00 (nine thousand five hundred and thirty hryvnias). Taking into account the results of the tests, a high risk of surgery was identified at the moment due to the deterioration of the heart condition.  Sergiy was discharged and recommended to consult a cardiac surgeon. 

The balance of funds for the project is 298 470.00 (two hundred and ninety-eight thousand four hundred and seventy UAH 00 kopecks). If it is impossible to implement the project, please dispose of the funds in accordance with the Rules, Principles and Procedures of the UBB Charitable Foundation.
