Urgent help for OHMATDYT

UPD:  Dear donors, we are pleased to announce that the collection has been completed. The equipment worth UAH 13.565 million has been delivered to OKHMATDYT Hospital. We thank everyone who contributed to the charity initiative. This is a true testament to the fact that Ukrainians are united for the future and that we can overcome any difficulties together. 

On 8 July 2024, a rocket attack turned one of the buildings of the OKHMATDYT hospital in Kyiv, where children received dialysis, into ruins, while other hospital buildings were damaged and left without windows. This is one of the largest and most professional children's hospitals in Ukraine. This morning it became the enemy's target.

Serious patients are treated there every day: children with cancer, complex injuries, serious illnesses and those preparing for organ transplants. These kids are desperately fighting for their lives every minute and could not pose a threat to anyone.

The cost of the losses is enormous, but the most important thing is that the children, parents, doctors and some of the expensive equipment that we and dozens of other foundations have raised funds for have been damaged.

Once again, we have overcome the pain and turned it into a benefit. We are launching a fundraising campaign to rebuild the hospital, namely to provide it with medical equipment, including replacement of the destroyed one.

As part of the project, unique and important equipment will be purchased for the OKHMATDYT hospital, including

1. An ultrasound scanner for imaging in general and laparoscopic surgery. The manufacturer of the equipment is BK Medical ApS (Denmark). The cost is UAH 8,500,000. This equipment will be purchased to replace the one destroyed in a missile strike. The device will be used for ultrasound diagnostics during highly complex surgical operations. On 23.10.2024, it was transferred to the hospital. On 24.10.2024, it was put into operation.
2. ENT machine Medicenter Intra. HAS BEEN HANDED OVER TO THE HOSPITAL. The equipment was manufactured by Dantschke Medizintechnik (Germany).  The cost is UAH 3,695,000. The ENT combine allows covering a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and manipulations in the ENT department. On 20.08.2024, it was transferred to the hospital and put into service.
3. The LIKA-surgeon+ diode surgical dual-wavelength laser. The manufacturer is Fotonica Plus (Ukraine). The cost is UAH 370,000. It will be used to perform unique surgeries for arteriovenous malformations in children. 16.10.2024 Delivered to the hospital and put into service. 

4. Cryosurgical apparatus CRYO-S Painless. The manufacturer of the equipment is METRUM CRYOFLEX Sp. z o.o.  The cost of the device is UAH 1,000,000. The device allows for temporary freezing of peripheral nerves during surgery and avoiding pain in the postoperative period. On 04.11.2024, it was handed over to the hospital, and on 05.11.2024, it was put into operation. 

No words are enough to express all the pain that is in our hearts right now. But we believe that by working together we will be able to help restore the hospital, which saves the lives of our children. Every hryvnia is important, and it is your help that can make the difference. Together we are bringing the moment when all children will receive the necessary medical care on time.

UPD: On 20 August, a Medicenter Intra ENT machine (Germany) was delivered to OKHMATDYT Hospital.  The equipment has already been put into operation and is helping the hospital's young patients. 

On 16 October, a LIKA-surgeon+ diode dual-wavelength surgical laser was delivered to OKHMATDYT Hospital.  The equipment has already been put into operation and is helping the hospital's young patients. 

On 23 October, a premium quality Bk5000 intraoperative ultrasound scanner was delivered.

On November 4, the CRYO-S Painless cryosurgical apparatus was delivered.
