Upgrade for physical therapy room an orphanage

This project is dedicated to the Kmytiv boarding school and its 65 students – children with special needs. Now children from 7 to 17 years old with intellectual disabilities and children with a corresponding diagnosis and medical indications study and are brought up here. The institution provides education, social assistance and rehabilitation and prepares children for an independent life. 

The school provides vocational training for its students: sewing, carpentry, agriculture and flower farming. Children also learn knitting, embroidery, soft toys making, cooking and baking; their learning includes using natural materials and woodworking. The school's educational program also includes physical therapy, speech therapy, and rhythmics designed for students with learning disabilities. 

Special education ensures students' with learning disabilities unique learning needs are met, and physical therapy is an integral part of the process. The school has several sports sections such as basketball, football, table tennis, and athletics. But, sadly, due to insufficient state funding, the physical therapy room is dismal as the only few pieces of sports equipment there are either damaged or outdated. At the moment, with the physical therapy room being out of order, the medical needs of the students that require a special exercise program cannot be met. Exercising is not only good for children's health and well-being, but it also plays a crucial role in their development and learning. It is essential for children who have certain educational and medical needs. As our system fails vulnerable children time and again, we want to help the orphanage raise funds for sports equipment for the school's physical therapy room.  

The institution's administration requested our help to raise the UAH 69 408 to purchase sports equipment for the physical therapy room. We ask you to support this project so that children can exercise and improve their health and well-being!
