Small things with a high price

The situation needs an urgent solution! Our list of wards who need to replace breathing tubes, nebulizers and filters for inhalers as soon as possible is constantly updated. However, in recent months, the queue, unfortunately, is hardly moving forward. This is very threatening, because dozens of human lives now depend on these "little things" at a high price. We ask for your help in this project to make inhalations effective. After all, without proper therapy, the lungs of patients are clogged with sputum, and then suffocation can occur...

Why is it happening? Because due to the DNA breakdown, all the secretions in the body have a higher viscosity. Not only the lungs suffer, but also the digestive system, pancreas and liver. It is possible to live with cystic fibrosis, but it is necessary not to stop therapy even for a day: constant medication, inhalation, physiotherapy exercises, planned hospitalizations, maximum isolation from the sources of infections. 

To ensure that inhalation is effective and does not create an additional risk of infection in the lungs, consumable sets should be sterilized and changed every few months. Some medications require different kits. 

Families with children or adults with cystic fibrosis have a lot of expenses: medical equipment, special meals, breathing machines and medicines that are not covered by the budget. Unplanned hospitalizations during exacerbations of the disease require tens of thousands of hryvnias. There is almost no money left for the ordinary living expenses. Such families, without any exaggeration, are financially exhausted. 

This time we are asking for help to buy 35 sets for inhalers. Together with them, we will pass on to these families your support and the feeling that they are not alone with cystic fibrosis.
