Pavlik wants to speak: support him!

This baby's life began with a struggle. The birth was difficult, and in the first days of his life Pavlo was in a special box under drips. He needed special nutrition because he was not gaining weight. His parents realized that their path would be difficult. Luckily, they managed to avoid the diagnosis of cerebral palsy, but the consequences of asphyxiation left a deep mark.

Now Pavlyk is a small miracle. He is an inquisitive, energetic, intelligent boy who is interested in everything. His eyes shine when he plays with his favorite cars – firefighters, police or ambulances. He enthusiastically assembles construction sets, plays with other children, laughs sincerely and enjoys the world. But there is something that sets him apart from his peers. Pavlyk does not speak.

He understands everything that is happening around him. He has a rich “vocabulary”, but instead of words, he uses gestures. And these gestures are his own invention. They are so eloquent that his family can already read between the lines of this “silent dialog”. However, they still want to hear his voice, his words, his funny children's stories...

For several years now, the parents have been fighting for Pavlo to speak. Centers, clinics, examinations, procedures, classes with speech therapists and psychologists – all for the sake of the dream of hearing their son's first words. There are already small improvements, but this path is long and difficult. The parents believe that Pavlyk will make it. They imagine the day when he will tell a fairy tale or go to school, where he will confidently recite poetry.

But for this to happen, time must not be wasted. Every day matters. To consolidate progress and move forward, rehabilitation courses are needed.  But all this requires significant funds, which the family does not have.
