It is very scary when children face adult problems. Nowadays a lot of children of our country have understood the real meaning of the word 'war'. The life of little Maksym Danylchuk is not an exception. He is a special child with cerebral palsy. The war changed his life. He was forced to change habitual environment, move to other city, refuse from rehabilitation. But right now the boy cannot miss it. The young family of migrants needs our help. Under the new conditions boy's parents are unable to pay for his rehabilitation.

The story of Maksym's mother: "We are migrants from Donetsk. I had not heard the first cry of my baby. Something went wrong and Maksym was born with hematoma on his head. Doctors gave him oxygen and said that everything would be fine the next day. But in the morning he stopped breathing and was placed to the pressure chamber. Ten days later we were transferred to the intensive care unit. We spent there three following months, and almost every day doctor was telling us about incurable disease of our son. But as parents we couldn't allow ourselves not to treat our son or not to look for some new medicines which could help him. Only after three months our baby was with us at home.

Due to convulsive activity that was observed till the age of 1.5 year, Maksym was not able to undergo rehabilitation. There were small but noticeable results after each rehabilitation course in the Donetsk Regional Center of Professor Yevtushenko. When our son reached the age of two we decided to go to Olomouc (Chech Republic) for Vojta therapy. After we returned home we continued to do therapeutic exercises using Vojta technique. Every day we noticed new positive results and believed that very soon Maksym would start sitting…

We were forced to leave our home when war started in our city. We took only the most necessary things and leaved. At that time we had to refuse from rehabilitations in the Czech Republic and Donetsk. Nevertheless we passed the 10-day rehabilitation course in Berdiansk, after which Maksym's head grew up, he became smarter and more attentive. After Berdiansk we moved to live in Rivne region. During these months we underwent rehabilitation course in Rivne. We were pleasantly surprised by benevolence of local professionals. They highly recommend us to undergo rehabilitation in Truskavets. But we have left everything in Donetsk and that is why we do not have the financial ability to pay for treatment.”

We are asking you to help to pay for the rehabilitation course for 3-year-old Maksym. Without our help this boy will not be able to make his first steps!
