The first step in Sofia's healthy life

Sofia is a cheerful 6-year-old girl, she loves playgrounds and is very fond of children, but unfortunately, they do not understand her

The girl was born on time, she was hypoxic at birth, she did not scream, resuscitators helped her. From birth, Sofia had jaundice. Developmental delay was noticed at 5 months: the baby could not hold her head. The girl was constantly under the supervision of doctors.

At the age of 1.5 years, doctors noted a psycho-speech delay in Sofia. From the age of 5 months, the girl received procedures in the pool and massage therapy. Only thanks to them did she start walking. At the age of 3, the girl was issued a disability, and now she still has a developmental delay, Sofia speaks poorly, has impaired walking coordination, unsteadiness, and partially understands spoken language, only eats and walks a little on her own. Sofia does not serve herself and wears diapers. At the age of five, in Germany, Sofia was diagnosed with a rare genetic chromosome disorder responsible for developmental and speech delays.

Unfortunately, the girl's father left the family, but when they lived together, they could pay for classes on their own - so Sofia constantly visited rehabilitation centers. At the Rostok Zhyttia Rehabilitation Center, Sofia rode horses and tried two courses of dolphin therapy. The girl also underwent a rehabilitation course at the St. John's Center in Dnipro. On a regular basis, Sofia works with a neuropsychologist. Only thanks to the constant lessons, the girl walks, talks a little, understands something, has improvements in psycho-emotional terms, becomes more attentive, more persevering and calm. Unfortunately, the girl's mother cannot afford to pay for the lessons on her own, so she is asking for help.
