Volodymyr’s First Step

The goal of the project was to raise funds for Volodymyr Khomenko, who has been diagnosed with Q99: Prader-Willi syndrome (microdeletion form), genetic obesity, concomitant convergent strabismus with a paretic component, as well as delays in motor and psycholinguistic development. The child’s medical history also includes surgical interventions for bilateral cryptorchidism. Volodymyr requires regular comprehensive rehabilitation support aimed at developing motor skills, communication, speech, sensory integration, and coordination, as well as increasing his level of independence and improving his overall physical and psycho-emotional condition.

Initially, a fundraising campaign was launched on the dobro.ua platform of the Charitable Organization International Charitable Foundation “UBB” for 25,000.00 UAH. However, in October 2025, the cost of the rehabilitation services was adjusted. Consequently, the project amount was reduced to 20,702.00 UAH, as per letter No. 98 dated October 21, 2025. This was the exact amount needed to cover the cost of Volodymyr’s rehabilitation course.

Thanks to the platform of the Charitable Organization International Charitable Foundation “UBB” (dobro.ua) and donors, the necessary amount of 20,702.00 UAH was raised. The “I Dream to Live” Charitable Foundation paid for Volodymyr’s rehabilitation services, and from June 8, 2026, to June 19, 2026, he underwent rehabilitation at the “Step by Step Toward the Goal” Center for Physical and Psychological Rehabilitation LLC.
