Petya is on the way to recovery
When our foundation first organized a fundraiser for Petya, the boy was 9 years old and could hardly speak. Today, Petya speaks not only individual words, but also whole sentences. All this is thanks to systematic rehabilitation.
In early childhood, Petro was diagnosed with autism. At the age of 4, he was taken to various rehabilitation centers, but there were no significant changes in his health... Until the boy's mother was recommended to try tomatis therapy. Petya was 8 years old then. They decided to take the course, and since then the child has been making progress! After the first course, Petya began to pronounce some words. After the second, he was able to connect some words into phrases. With each Tomatis therapy session, Petya's progress is noticeable.
“Of course, we would like everything to happen quickly and immediately, but apparently it doesn't happen that way. We were very happy to see that the child is moving forward, albeit slowly,” says Inna's mother.
With each rehabilitation course, Petya takes a step forward. He understands others better and better, he has new words and sentences, and he perceives information faster.
And recently, Petya has developed a hobby. His parents enrolled him in a circus studio. The family was worried about whether Petya would be accepted because of his developmental disabilities and poor speech, but the teacher told him that he didn't need to speak on stage, so there was nothing to worry about. The first time Petya did not do well, but the second time the trainer found an approach to him. Thanks to these classes, Petya has a new social circle, which is very important because it is very difficult for the boy to make friends. He is always happy to go to training.
Inna's mother said: “We hope that Petya will continue to develop and move forward. We really want him to make a full recovery and we believe in it, but we still need to work hard for that. And, of course, we need a lot of money, which our low-income family does not have. That is why we are sincerely grateful to everyone who helps us and donates money for Petya's treatment.”
