Teenage space in war conditions

"Teenage Space in Wartime" is a joint project of Aspern Charitable Foundation with the Charitable Organization of the International Charitable Foundation "Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace", which was launched to raise funds to create a space for teenagers where they can spend time with benefit and pleasure, buy tea, coffee, sweets and other tea-time products, as well as to pay for the work of a psychologist. As part of the project, the psychologist worked with teenagers who temporarily live in the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children and attend a day hospital. Individual and group consultations, art therapy classes and creative practices were conducted with them, board games were organized to develop communication and team skills, watching calm, kind films to relieve emotional tension and develop empathy, as well as tea parties with group discussions on the topics: “Me and my emotions”, “How to overcome fear”, “Trust in communication”, “How are you?”, “Me and my career guidance”. We obtained the following results: with the help of games, consultations and watching films, teenagers became calmer and more open, the level of anxiety and conflict decreased, communication between children improved, trust in adults increased, a safe space of support was created where teenagers feel accepted, understood and protected.
