Support children with hearing impairments

In July 2025, we published an important project titled “Support Children with Hearing Impairments” on the website of the  ICF "Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace", dobro.ua. The goal of the project was to raise funds for the purchase of educational and corrective materials for The Maria Pokrova Special School in Lviv. 

In November, we increased the fundraising target twice, as the project was successfully collecting donations and we aimed to cover more of the school’s needs. Already in November, we withdrew part of the collected funds — UAH 71,665 — for the partial implementation of the project.

Due to the challenging working conditions of manufacturers caused by prolonged power outages, changes were made to the list of materials planned for purchase. After phased production and delivery, on December 30, 2025, the school received the final component of the first procurement of educational and corrective materials in the amount of UAH 70,386.00.

Among the items purchased for the school were:

Large Froebel didactic set (2 units)
Musical bells (8 units)
Doman cards (1 set)
“Large Musical Bag” set (1 unit)
Sensory color light wall “Promin” (1 unit)
Balance paths (2 units)
Set of balls for a dry pool (8 units)
The fundraising campaign for the project was completed at the beginning of January 2026, after which we received the final portion of the collected funds in the amount of UAH 25,085.00. To ensure the full scope of the procurement, the Foundation additionally co-financed the purchase of materials, and on February 18, 2026, we paid for the second procurement.

Within this purchase, the following items were acquired:

Busy board (1 unit)
“Numicon for Individual Lessons”. Set 3 (1 unit)
“Numicon. First Steps with Numicon” (1 unit)
Doman card set (2 units)
On February 23, 2026, the school received the final part of the educational and corrective materials within this project in the amount of UAH 27,196.00.

The total project expenses amounted to UAH 97,582, including UAH 96,750 provided by  ICF "Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace".

High-quality and modern educational and corrective materials are already being used in the educational process at The Maria Pokrova Special School in Lviv. We sincerely thank the dobro.ua platform and all caring supporters who contributed to this project and helped make learning and development for children more comfortable and effective.
