Support mother's hope! 4
When Yegor is sitting, you can't tell that the teenager has some health problems. But a swaying, somewhat shaky gait immediately point out his diagnosis: cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis. Yegor is already 17 years old. 17 years of battle with the hated disease. His life began with a struggle. Premature ejaculation of amniotic fluid, double umbilical cord entanglement, intrauterine pneumonia, hypoxia, the consequences of hemorrhage into the brain – not the most favorable conditions at birth. But his thirst for life was stronger, he climbed out.
Egor's childhood wasn`t similar to the life of healthy children. 4 times a year – obligatory courses of rehabilitation, regular massages, exercise therapy, classes with a speech therapist, reflexotherapy, sanatoriums, mud, baths, hippotherapy, dolphin therapy, trips, suitcases. Usually children cry when they see people in white coats, but for Yegor they have become more good friends than enemies. Even though the lesson could bring pain. Contrary to the pessimistic forecasts of doctors at birth, thanks to hard work and regular exercise, gradually, the child learned to crawl, then walk with the support, almost at the age of 5 he took his first steps. Nothing came easy, it took a lot of work to get each skill.
But the boy has a stubborn character since childhood: I by myself! The desire to do everything on his own, to walk on his own, to communicate on his own, to dress, to eat, helped a lot. Gradually, Yegor learned to do it all by himself. Each step, each new skill, each improvement in gait, in the work of the hand – this is such a joy for the mother, who did everything for the health of her son. The child's father never took part in the life of the family – he left as soon as Yegor was diagnosed with a disability. Now, despite all his diagnoses, the guy is in good physical shape. He studies in the 10th grade, thinks about where to study further, is engaged in Paralympic swimming (Candidate Master of Sports), likes to listen to the music, has the life of an ordinary teenager.
Only the gait is special, but it has improved a lot after the last course of rehabilitation. And now, during the period of intensive growth, so that the tendons are not pulled, in order to maintain and increase the acquired skills, good, intensive rehabilitation is very important for the boy. Help Yegor to get this treatment!
